The World Wide Web

In Malachi 4:6 it reads, "And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers..." While this does have reference to family history, its implications are even more extensive.  God's hand was involved in the creation and development of the internet, that His purposes might be accomplished.  The family of man is closer now than ever before.  No longer is the internet only for retrieving information, It is now a super highway.  The internet has connected practically every person together.  Personal computing and access to the internet is more accessible than ever before.  Meager factory workers in China may not have a computer but I bet they have an iPhone.  Almost everyone can now participate in the global "brain storm".  It can't only be good fortune that such a system came to fruition.  People of all ages and backgrounds are obligated to learn this God given gift in order to bring God's truths to light.

Game Transfer Phenomena

The experience called "Game Transfer Phenomena" or GTP, is when you make a mental link between a real world situation and an experience from a game. Some may feel that this is a harmful and negative effect of games on the mind.  However, games originally where a safe way to practice real life situations.  Lion cubs, for example, play games in which they pretend to fight or hunt.  For cubs it's just a fun game. However, in critical survival situations, adults lions will experience a form of GTP.  While we as humans aren't usually fighting for survival in the wilderness.  Games such as "Sim City", "Call of Duty", or "StarCraft" teach us money management, effective communication, and multitasking skills.  Games where originally a safe way to practice real life situations, so we would hope that some of that would spill over into reality.

Progression

There is a lot of talk about the "goods" and "bads" of technology.  People like to demonize, or make technology the scape goat for societies problems.  I am of a differing opinion; I believe that technology can be only good for those who wish it to be.  Technology will be only bad for those who are looking for trouble and seeking for bad things.  Technology, in particular, the computer, has opened up a vast world of possibilities.  It hasn't marginalized the individual, but rather empowered.  Technology has made it possible for people to follow their dreams.  Small businesses are now able to act bigger than they are using social media and online marketing.  Those who would other wise never get a publishing deal for a book, have become hugely popular because of their blog.  Even a young parents not knowing how to fix their washing machine can Google it and get step by step instructions.  Whether it's blogs, videos, or video games, technology has allowed people to take their interests they love and turn them into professions.  Whether or not there is a moral obligation to use those mediums for good or for bad is an entirely different issue.
